Curious about Makaton but not ready to commit to a full workshop?
A Makaton Taster Workshop is a fun, relaxed introduction designed to help you discover what Makaton is, who uses it and how it can support communication.
During the session, you'll learn a selection of useful everyday signs and symbols, along with a themed vocabulary, giving you the opportunity to experience Makaton in action.
A Taster Workshop is not part of the Core Workshop training pathway and does not replace Level 1. If you decide to continue your Makaton journey, you'll still begin with Level 1, where the structured Core Workshop programme starts.
Participants receive handouts to support the vocabulary covered during the session, together with information about further Makaton training and resources.
