Effective safeguarding relies on effective communication.

This specialist workshop explores how Makaton signs and symbols can help children and adults with communication difficulties express themselves, understand personal boundaries, make choices and communicate concerns more effectively.

Designed for professionals and carers, the workshop builds on your existing Makaton knowledge, introducing specialist safeguarding vocabulary alongside practical strategies that can be adapted to meet individual communication needs.
